Summary:

NITE has directed consumers' attention to Electric Halogen Heaters imported and distributed by Daio International Japan in NITE Alert No.78 (issued on Jan 18, 2007) and No.83 (on Nov 21, 2007).
Accidents supposedly caused by the different models of the relevant importer/distributor continue to be reported to NITE. Although some models are still under investigation, this alert is to notify consumers of the model numbers of the electric halogen heaters involved in the accidents reported to NITE.

<Summary of the NITE Alert>

1. (1) Announcement of the model numbers in accident reports received by NITE
   These products may pose further accident risks. As a preventive measure, consumers are discouraged from using them. As for models SUN-801Ci and SUN801D, NITE warned consumers in NITE Alerts No.78 and No.83 to refrain from using them, and this warning is now re-issued.
2. (2) Reminder of model numbers of previous voluntary recalls by the relevant importer/distributor
   NITE has announced the relevant model numbers in NITE Alerts No.78 and No.83. This is a reminder to discontinue use of these products.
