To Teachers and Staff in Elementary Schools

The National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) has produced a learning material on product safety for late elementary grade students consisting of a DVD and an instruction manual. In this material, accidents involving familiar products at home have been selected among from the accident information collected by NITE, and details and causes are explained with key points. Some advice for discussions with students on product accidents have been put together with cautions in the event of a product accident occurring.
Five programs, each lasting for several minutes under a single theme, are included on this DVD. Each program consists of the process leading up to the product accident, a reproducible experiment and cautions, appearing in this order. Each program is complete in itself, and you can select programs according to your chosen theme.
