2nd NITE Technical Visits at the IEC General Meeting in Tokyo 2014
was held successfully

2nd NITE Technical Visits at the IEC General Meeting in Tokyo 2014 was held on November 13th.
Totally 6 participants attended from 5 countries (Germany, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Kenya).
NITE Yamamoto Vice President presented an address of welcome as opening ceremony.
After that, NITE operations related with IEC was introduced and On-site visits were performed with a friendly atmosphere and a lively exchange of questions and answers, so the participants seemed to get a good understanding about the role of NITE.

Introduced operations of NITE,

• Product Safety Operations related to IEC Standards (Accident Cause Investigation, Ignition Performance Evaluation)
• Testing and Evaluation Facility for Large-Scale Storage Battery
• Accreditation Field (Activities and latest examples)
• On-site visit to Product Safety Field Centre (Fine Bubble Testing Laboratory)
• On-site visit to Biotechnology Field Centre (Proteome Analysis Laboratory)

Participants of Technical Visits and NITE staff advanced exchanges at Coffee Break and a commemorative photo with Yamamoto Vice President was taken at last, so all programs were finished.
Together with 1st Technical Visits held on November 5th (6 countries: France, Spain, Nederland, USA, Korea, China), a total of 18 participants attended NITE Technical Visits from 11 countries.
